My little dancer.

I have a little dancer on my hands. Anytime Hannah hears music she starts dancing. My cell phone ringtone is a latin tone. She loves to dance to it when it rings. We will also be out at the store or restaurants and she will dance to the music that she hears. I will have to post a video I made of her dancing sometime when I can figure it out.

God Was Working With Me

Hello everyone! This is Greg. First, I want to give a special shout out to all of the Hunan kids out there: ) You are all growing so fast!!

I'm sure that most of you know that I surprised Pam by starting the adoption process a full year earlier than we were thinking we would. I look back now and can see why God was tugging at my heart to go ahead and start earlier. We started in September. I almost waited to surprise her for Christmas. If we happened to have waited another year or if I even waited until Christmas, then we would have not been able to adopt from China again. Because of the new stricter rules that the Chinese government is placing for adopting, mainly the 80,000 net worth, we would not have been able to. I now understand why God was tugging at my heart to go ahead and start and trust in him that he will provide. We now should be able to get our paperwork to China before the new rule are imposed in May. He even placed a few ladybugs in my path during that time: ) It's so cool to see so clearly God working in our lives. Anyway, I just wanted to share that little testimony. I hope that all of you are doing great!

Celebration

Tonight we went out to celebrate getting our I-171H. We went to downtown to eat at a cute little Irish pub. After eating supper we went to Krispy Kreme for some doughnuts. It was all good.

I was wanting to tell you all about an internet phone service that is free. It is Skype. Greg and I learned about it from our SW with Hannah's adoption. Her and her husband are in Taiwan adopting a little girl. They use it to talk with their family back home. Greg and I plan to use it when I go to China to get Ethan. You can also use a camera. I think it will be nice for Greg and Hannah to see Ethan before we get back.

PRAISE THE LORD AND PASS THE CHOPSTICKS

Praise God! I claimed it and it is here. We received our I-171H today in the mail. I knew He was bigger than the government. I will be asking off for one day next week so I can get everything authenticated and then mailed to Grand Rapids. I am so excited that we are one step closer to Ethan. This is a great early Chinese New Year gift or Valentine.

We were telling Hannah about one of her blankets that we bought her before we got our referral for her. We told her that we would have to go buy Ethan a blanket for him. She then told us "Ethan can have one of my blankets." I almost started to cry. She is a sweet heart most of the time. I love that little girl.

Potty Training !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I went to pick Hannah up from daycare this afternoon. Ms. Elaine said that she had the same pair of panties on all day long. She did not have any accidents. Of course we get home and she peed. I just don't know what to do. We had not even been home for 15 minutes when she did it. I'm almost ready to say forget about it and let her wear diapers the rest of her life. Just kidding.

I-171H & potty training

I have had several people ask me about the status on our I-171H. Unfortunately here in TN it seems that everyone is having to wait the full 45 days to receive their form. I am believing and claiming that we will get ours sooner then that though. I truely believe that God has our son Ethan waiting for us in China. If it doesn't work out I do not believe that it is what God wants. We had a series at church on God's will. Pastor Jim has talked about how the bad things that happen to us is not something that God has allowed but it is a result of evil man and sin in the world. He said that if God's will is always done then everyone in the world would be saved but we all know that is not what happens. I thought about this and prayed and read about it and I agree with his teaching. So, I am claiming my son Ethan and we all know that God is bigger than the Chinese Communist government and the US government.

Potty training - we have been working on the potty training thing for a few months now. Hannah has hits and misses on telling us when she has to go. I'm hoping that she will be moving along faster now. When I picked her up from daycare this afternoon, Ms. Elaine told me that she needed pull ups. She then said that if I would rather her put training patties on her then I could just bring her some sweat pants and she would use the training patties that she has there. I hope that this really gets her going.

Fun Filled Sunday

One of my favorite presents from Christmas was a pair of tickets to go see Dancing With The Stars live here in Nashville. This was Sunday night. Greg is the one that got me the tickets. As I revealed in a previous post I love to dance. Ballroom in one of my favorites. I also love to watch professional dancers. The show was awesome. It was funny seeing Joey Lawrence from the show Blossom and Joey McIntyre from New Kids on the Block in the show. I still remember watching Joey #1 on t.v and listening to Joey #2 on the radio.

Of course after watching everyone dance all I wanted to do was get out on the floor and dance myself. I miss it so much. I have to get my Dad to go dancing with me. I also am looking forward to the new season of Dancing with the Stars (on ABC).

Hannah stayed with my Mom (LaoLao). We dropped her off at 4:30 and she fell asleep and didn't wake up until 7:00. We finally picked her up around 11:00. All the way home she kept telling us that she didn't want to go to bed because she was not sleepy. Thank God she went to bed shortly after being home.

I smart little girl

Last night on the way to church I start listening to what Hannah was saying in the back seat, "7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13." I couldn't believe that she was counting that high. I told her to start back at one so I could hear her do it. She did great until she got to 5. She went from 4 to 6 and then right on. I was so surprised and proud of her. She is growing up so much. I love my little monkey.

Training new employees

I work for HCA which is a corporation that owns hospitals across the states. At our office we work the accounts from the hospitals here in TN. Back in November or December we learned that the office in Las Vegas like ours was closing and that we would be some of their hospitals. Because of this merge we are hiring 180 something people. My department is hiring 12 people. I am a mentor so I have been training 2 people so far. My throat has been hurting from talking so much. I can't image what it will be like after all of the people have started and have been trained.

Dentist appointment today

Today I had to go to the dentist to have some fillings repaired. The dentist that worked on me was new to the practice. She was a little bit rougher than the old one that did the original fillings. The shots she gave me hurt so much. I have never had that much pain at the dentist before. I think the worst thing about the whole appointment was my jaw about to pop out of its socket. I have problems with my jaws locking and popping on me anyway. Right now it is killing me as the shots are wearing off. I can bearly open it wide enough to take a bite of anything.

Favorite Photo Friday

This is Hannah's new laptop. My sister gave it to her for Christmas. This and an umbrella that she got were her favorite gifts. Any time we get our laptop out she has to get hers out to also work on it. She is also in her sock monkey PJs that
I got at Target. She really likes them. I think they are the cutest thing. I wish I had a pair myself.
